Data Sources
Spot prices come from licensed market data feeds (CoinGecko Pro, Gold API). The consumer price index used for the real gold price is updated monthly by the US Federal Reserve (FRED) and the ECB.
Coin Premium Methodology
The coin premium shows the percentage markup buyers pay for a physical coin over its pure metal value. It varies by coin type, mintage, and market conditions.
Update Interval
Spot prices are fetched every minute; the CPI figure and premium data are synchronized daily.

The real gold price adjusts the nominal spot price for general inflation (CPI). It shows how much purchasing power gold actually represents in historical comparison – and helps distinguish bull markets from inflation-driven price rises.
The ratio indicates how many ounces of silver would be needed to buy one ounce of gold. Historically it ranges between 40 and 80. A very high value signals that silver is relatively cheap; a low value signals the opposite.
